Introduction

Prelude to the keys and commandments

“So, I William Saunders Crowdy, was shown by the Seven Keys, the work of our God pertaining to our salvation…which if the one who reads it and will do it, will surely reach eternal life without fail, for Jesus’ words are as true as the Rock of Ages”

The Seven Keys and the Ten Commandments, which the prophet received by revelation and Spirit of Prophecy is the principal guideline pertaining to our salvation. We believe that if one does the Seven Keys, which includes the Ten Commandments, surely he will enter in through the gates into the city.

Throughout biblical history, the number seven has been so dominant, not only as an ordinary number but one that denotes completeness. God completed his work on the seventh day, which means he was satisfied with what he had done on this day.

(Genesis 2:1-3). When God wanted Namaan to be cleansed of his leprosy, he had to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. As he immersed himself for the seventh time, the exercise of cleansing him was completed and his health was restored to him (2 Kings 5).

The destruction of the walls of Jericho took place seven days, with seven priests bowing seven trumpets and also going around the city seven times on the last day. Thus we can count ourselves victorious over sin if we abide in these seven keys.

After receiving a vision of the Church and the Seven keys, Prophet Crowdy headed home where at night time, God made him inscribe on a tablet the seven keys which he had been shown in a vision.

The following analysis is aimed at giving a condensed overview of these keys, the references given are just illustrative. Readers are encouraged to search the scriptures. Go To: First Key
