We Believe
We should be able to defend our faith according to the Word of God.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:15.
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32.
We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is a sufficient guide in all.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16.
We accept both the Old and New Testaments and believe that all that was written of old was written for our learning.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:14.
We believe in one God who is the creator of all things
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 8:6.
Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. Psalms 100:3-4
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He is our Lord and our Saviour.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. St John 3:16.
And Simon Peter answered and said Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. St Matthew 16:16.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10.
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10-11
We believe in Jesus Christ’ second coming as He promised in the Holy Scriptures.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1-3.
We believe there is only way to God, and that way is Jesus Christ.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6.Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:7.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. John 10:1
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
We believe that the seventh day Sabbath, commonly called Saturday, is the Sabbath Day of the Lord.
It is a sign between God and His people and all God’s children should keep it if they want to enter into everlasting life.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. Exodus 20:8, Ezekiel 20:20.
In keeping it holy there is a blessed reward
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 58:13-14.
We believe keeping of God’s commandments give one the right to the tree of life.
And we shall enter in through the gates into the city of the Living God.
Blessed are they that do his commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Revelation 22:14.
We believe in keeping the Passover Feast and Days of Unleavened Bread.
It is of greatest importance to our organization because by a mighty hand, God delivered us (Israel) out of the enemy’s hand. God commanded us to observe the month of Abib and eat the Lord’s Passover throughout all our generations.
“Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.” Deuteronomy 16:1. Also read Exodus 12:1-2, Exodus 13:4.
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Exodus 12:14
We believe in water baptism of complete immersion in water which signifies the burial of the former life of sin and rebirth into a new spiritual life.
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4.
We believe that there is only one true way of baptism,
One Lord, one faith, one baptism. Ephesians 4:5.
We do not believe in infant baptism as infants cannot meet the prerequisites of baptism. We believe that children should be blessed.
As stated earlier, we do not baptise children. Ancient mothers believed just like today’s mothers, they brought their children to the Lord to be received.
Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. Matthew 19:13-15.
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and that none goes to heaven nor to the burning Hell until after the resurrection and general judgment.′
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep. O that thou wouldest hide me in the grave, that thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me! If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come. Thou shalt call, and I will answer thee: thou wilt have a desire to the work of thine hands. For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin? My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity. Job 14:12-17.
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Corinthians 15:50-52.
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 1:6.
The angels which sinned were not sent to hell instantly but until now God has reserved unto the judgment of the great day which has not come yet but is at hand.
And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him., and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. Jude 1:14-15. Also read Acts 2:24, Psalms 115:17.
The dead, both righteous and unrighteous both wait in the grave for judgment and it is then that some shall rise to everlasting life and some to everlasting damnation.
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. [2] And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:1-2.
We believe the Holy Matrimony to be a union between one man and one woman. This union was instituted and blessed by God Himself at creation.
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Genesis 2:18-19.
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. Genesis 2:21-24
Homosexuality is sin and has no place in the kingdom of God.
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
